Our reunion of former students at Cowichan Senior Secondary School, class of 1970 40th high school reunion resumed Saturday at “Dogpatch”, now known as Maple Grove Campground on the Cowichan River. Two of our classmates travelled from Australia to celebrate with us, so Judy Minckler and Terry LIsson (Hepburn) were given the honour of cutting our reunion cake (see banner image above).
Betty Person gave out awards and thank you’s to all the volunteers who contributed to a very successful reunion at a venue that brought back memories of our youth.
We had an extensive barbecue buffet dinner thanks to several of our classmates who did the grilling and catering, and afterwards we enjoyed a great rock and roll band “The Culprits” – Lee Paterson, drums/vocals, Gary Cayer, base guitar, and Dean Paterson, lead guitar/vocals.
